Southern Oregon Speedway roared back to life Saturday night with a packed card featuring Sport Compacts, SODCA Dwarfs, IMCA SportMods, Outlaw ProStocks, and IMCA Modifieds. The night delivered fast qualifying laps, hard-fought heat races, and several drivers charging through the field when the main events rolled out. Results sourced from the official event report.
Sport Compacts
Brice Weathers set the pace in qualifying with a 20.463, followed by Kurtis Whisenhunt and Johnathan Wiers. Heat race wins went to Hunter Anderson and Kurtis Whisenhunt. In the 25-lap main event, Dylan Sauer drove from fourth to the win, with Hunter Anderson second and Shyanne Johnson third.
SODCA Dwarfs
Cadyn Smith topped qualifying with a 16.132, with Cody Peters and Chad Cardoza rounding out the top three. Smith also grabbed a heat race win, while Cody Peters claimed the other. The main event belonged to Josh King, who charged from 10th to victory. Cadyn Smith finished second, and Cody Peters came home third.
IMCA SportMods
Rich McCoy led qualifying with a 16.027, followed closely by Vinny Debenedetti and Jorddon Braaten. Heat race wins went to Brian Poppa Sr., Vinny Debenedetti, and Jorddon Braaten. Debenedetti backed up his strong night by winning the 25-lap feature from the pole. Braaten finished second after starting eighth, while Lain McCoy made a big run from 14th to third.
Outlaw ProStocks
Jeff Haudenshild was quickest in qualifying with a 17.975, ahead of RJ Azevedo and Marius Azevedo. Heat race victories went to Haudenshild and RJ Azevedo. In the main event, Jer Deubert charged from seventh to the win, followed by Haudenshild in second and Marius Azevedo in third.
IMCA Modifieds
Carter Patterson topped qualifying with a fast lap of 15.574, followed by Grey Ferrando and Joby Shields. Heat race winners were Patterson, Ferrando, and Ryan Peery. In the 25-lap feature, Grey Ferrando took the win, Ryan Peery finished second, and Ethan Killingsworth rounded out the podium in third.
