SUNNYVALLEY RETURNS AS “POWERED BY BACON” NARC DASH SPONSOR
(2/26/2022) Sacramento, CA … The Northern Auto Racing Club is proud to announce that Sunnyvalley Smoked Meats has returned as the trophy dash sponsor for the 2022 sprint car season. The Sunnvalley “Powered by Bacon” Dash has been a fan-favorite fixture on the NARC Fujitsu General USA Series campaign campaign for the past three years.
The Manteca, Calif.-based company produces a variety of smoked bacon, ham and turkey products for retail and wholesale customers under the Sunnyvalley brand.
In addition to awarding prize money to the winner of the all-important six-lap trophy dash, which determines the way the first three rows line up for the main event, the winning driver and a lucky fan in the grandstands are presented with 10-pounds of flash-frozen Sunnyvalley Bacon. It is one of the most popular interactive promotions on the NARC tour.
The 2022 NARC sprint car season opens with the Third Annual Asparagus Cup at the Stockton Dirt Track on April 2nd. The series will crown a King of the West sprint car champion. Dominic Scelzi of Fresno is the defending series titleist.
ABOUT THE COMPANY: Sunnyvalley Smoked Meats, Inc. was established in 1990 by Bill Andreetta. The Andreetta family has been in the meat business in Manteca, California since 1959. The family bought a meat locker plant and operated it as Manteca Meat Service for many years. Bill purchased the business from his father in 1972 after his service in the U.S. Army.
In 2000 Bill Andreetta built a state-of-the-art 41,000 square foot plant. It has since been expanded with a new dry storage building and maintenance shop to over 100,000 square feet. Sunnyvalley Smoked Meats employs over 325 people. The company also recently completed a 60,000 square foot bacon processing plant adjacent to their current facility to increase their ham and poultry business. The company has gross annual revenue of over $150 million.
